Editorial & Source Standards
Every consequential permit rule, official fee, statute, insurance reference, product specification, and published cost figure on this site links to its source and carries the date checked. Anything that could not be verified was left out.
Official-First Citations
We prioritize primary sources. When discussing Florida Building Code, state statutes, or local permit fees for Panama City and Bay County, we cite the official government publication. When discussing screen products, we cite the manufacturer's published specifications.
Verification Dates
Rules, fees, and products change. Every substantive claim on this site carries a “checked” date (e.g., July 24, 2026). This date indicates when the information was last verified against the cited source. We do not automatically update these dates; they change only after a human re-checks the source.
Banned Claims
We refuse to publish generic marketing hype. You will not find the following unverified claims on our site:
- Promises of “#1” or “top-rated” service.
- Guarantees of 24/7 availability, emergency dispatch, or specific arrival times.
- Blanket claims that all work is “licensed and insured” without specifying the provider and scope.
- Invented local prices masquerading as actual quotes.
- Fabricated testimonials or stock photos pretending to be local crews.
Corrections Policy
If you find an error in our citation of a statute, permit fee, or product specification, we want to fix it. We review correction requests that include a link to the primary source demonstrating the error. See our About page for contact information.
